Project title: Dielectric and Electrical Behavior of Polymer Nanocomposites Reinforced with ZnO and Carbon Nanotubes

Carbon Nanotubes with extremely large aspect ratio are ideal materials to reinforce polymers. Consequently, such nanocomposites exhibit superior mechanical strength and electrical conductivity. On the other hand, ZnO semiconductor of various shapes (nanoparticles, nanotubes) have been recently incorporated into polymers to improve their dielectric characteristics. In this project, the structure and morphology, mechanical properties, dielectric and electrical conductivity of the novel composites will be investigated using TEM, SEM, tensile, impact, impedance techniques, etc.
