Title: Porous coaxial nanocomposites for Li-ion battery and supercapacitor electrode materials
Our approach is to use novel electrochemical methods to enable porous nanocomposite materials for the application of the electrode materials of Li-ion batteries and supercapacitors. For example, one strategy is to first fabricate a robust and well-defined porous metal framework by the electrochemical techniques and then used it as template to host the active materials, e.g., metal oxides. The impact of morphologies, chemical compositions, mechanical properties, electrochemical properties of the nanocomposite systems on the electrode performance will be systematically studied.
